Maintenance Manager

**Key Responsibilities**: - Work closely with the Head of Property & Maintenance to plan and implement required maintenance and improvement works on all properties within the estate - Take ownership for day-to-day maintenance and building fabric issues in all properties across the estate - Share and implement best practices to drive Maintenance Division efficiency - Organise and manage external contractors in line with company procedures where necessary - Conduct and document regular inspections of the properties across the estate - Line management of a small team of Maintenance colleagues ensuring support is provided and outputs measured whilst adhering to safe work practices - Undertaking minor on-site repairs as and when required or as directed by the Head of Property & Maintenance - Design and implement a PPM schedule for hotels - Provide out of hours support when required to ensure any property requirements do not cause impact to guests or visitors - Ordering of materials as required by Maintenance Colleagues - Maintaining and improving the function and aesthetics of an international tourist destination **The Person**: - Hands-on, can-do attitude, competent at fixing a range of maintenance and building fabric issues - Maintenance experience in a customer service orientated commercial property like retail, hotels, or hospitality - Already working as a Maintenance Manager/Supervisor/Technical Manager/Facilities Manager or experienced Maintenance Engineer - Experience and/or qualifications in plumbing, heating and ventilation, painting and decorating or electrical - Proficient IT skills including MS word, MS Excel, MS power point - Experience of raising purchase orders and processing invoices - Demonstrates excellence in customer service - Experience in managing and working with multiple contractors - Excellent awareness of H&S working practices IOSH/ NCRQManging safely or alternative desirable **What we can offer you**: - 30 days holiday per annum (including bank holidays), based on a full-time contract - Free meal during your shift - Colleague discounts across our retail, dining and hotel venues - On-going, structured training and development - Full-time, permanent role - 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7 - Salary competitive dependant on experience and qualifications **About Gretna Green** Gretna Green Ltd is a fourth-generation family business, founded in 1885, involved in tourism, hospitality, retail, weddings, and agriculture.
