We are currently seeking a Database Administrator to join our Sales Support team on a full-time, permanent basis at our Petersfield Head Office.

**What will I be doing?**

As a Database Administrator with SMI, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our ERP and CRM systems maintain impeccable accuracy and remain up to date. Your keen eye for detail and analytical prowess will be instrumental in identifying anomalies and implementing strategies to keep our databases clean and streamlined, contributing to improved decision making processes, enhanced operational efficiency and better overall data governance within the business.

Duties include:

- Data analysis to identify data quality issues such as missing information, duplicates, outdated records or inconsistent data formats
- Developing and implementing data cleansing strategies to eliminate redundant, inaccurate or outdated data
- Exporting data from our CRM systems and conducting thorough checks to ensure the necessary data is showing
- Overseeing and monitoring new customer/contact data and establishing a process to ensure every contact goes into the correct workflow
- Implementing and preparing all mass updates via imports
- Regular monthly reporting on key areas of our databases (a breakdown can be found on the data cleansing list)
- Evaluating and documenting database changes or refinements
- Analysing data for possible inconsistencies that may skew reporting
- Streamlining data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast access to metrics
- Assistance with tasks such as pricing updates, Sales Support cover, mass changes and other ad hoc reports required by the business
- Customer reports for our Gold, Platinum and Diamond accounts
- Aligning the data in our CRM systems with Netsuite
- Working with Phocas/IT for any new developments/issues

**What do I need to be successful?**

To become a Database Administrator with SMI you will need:

- Good knowledge in using Microsoft products - particularly Excel
- Possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to learn new processes and systems
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills to identify and resolve data inconsistencies
- Rigorous attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
- Have a positive and energetic attitude
- Highly organised with excellent and proven time management skills
- Capable of prioritizing workload and working on multiple tasks
- Ability to work well within a team and support colleagues when needed
