**The role**

We are currently looking for a Health and Safety Assurance Manager to help manage H&S with our contracted operational activity across the business. This role will cover our ports and vessels including the time they spend at re-fit shipyards. This role isinstrumental in making sure that the business is being assured that all H&S is being adhered to with our contract operations.

You will work very closely with all of our partners across all of the operational areas including ports, charter vessels and dry docks. You will be working with our suppliers to make them aware of any risks around H&S and mitigating any issues before theyarise. You will also work with the rest of the P&O business to delivery the same level of H&S scrutiny to any of our new suppliers as we contract with them.

You will carry out regular audits and make sure that any trends or learnings are being shared with other suppliers. This is a key role within the HSS team as we begin to provide a single standard for HSS across both P&O Ferries and P&O FerryMasters.

**This is a home based role with regular travel to our office, ports, vessels and supplier locations.**

**The person**

So, who are we looking for?
- Extensive experience within a HSSE management role in ideally in large asset based operational business
- Membership of IOSH
- Demonstrable experience of leadership across a matrixed team
- Excellent analytical skills and a fantastic attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple stakeholders across varied geographies.
