**Group Risk Manager - Competitive Salary plus company car**

**Location**:Field based - Central / Hertfordshire

**Work pattern**: 5 days per week (including 13 Saturdays and 13 Sundays per year, bank holiday working may also be required.) This position will involve regular travel and some overnight stays.

**About The Vacancy**:
Reporting to the Regional Risk & Compliance Manager, the key purpose of this role is to provide independent assurance and advice to the business, responding to incidents of crime/health & safety related matters and investigating stock/cash loss of significantlevels.
- Key tasks:_

As part of a cohesive national team you will:

- Provide the business with an independent assurance of operational, legal and procedural compliance in respect of management of Health and Safety and Crime & Physical Security in a designated area of responsibility covering c40 stores
- Undertake a comprehensive and business supportive audit programme of the stores within your area of responsibility as definedcentrally
- Respond to and attend all incidents and accidents that necessitate attendance, conduct investigations and reports making recommendations to prevent re-occurrence. You will conduct and present at training sessions for Operational and store managers
- Be directly responsible for the engagement with local external agencies including local regulators including EHO’s and Law Enforcement

**To Be Successful, You Will Need**:

- Previous knowledge of Operational Compliance and store incident management in a multi-site operation
- The initiative to develop cost effective crime and accident mitigation and reduction solutions
- Ability to prioritise and respond to incidents across an area of responsibility
- Good communication and relationship building skills
- Strong PC skills -Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- A current full UK driving license
