We are currently looking for a 2nd Line Network Engineer to join our talented team on a full-time, permanent basis and grow their career in a busy technical service department.
**The Role**
As a 2nd Line Network Engineer, you will assist and provide day-to-day support to our clients with their networks and IT infrastructure support needs.
Working within our Network Operations Centre, you will develop and advance your knowledge and skills in networking and related technologies.
Working closely with our excellent staff, you will work towards being responsible for processing and recording tickets, monitoring and managing incidents and issues, as well as taking remedial actions.
In your role, you will also:

- Manage and escalate customer requests for networking support
- Support our internal infrastructure, if required
- Create and keep documentation up to date
- Carry out regular checks on customer and internal systems
- Update and maintain company and customer assets as part of the asset management cycle
**About You**
To join us as a 2nd Line Network Engineer, you will need:

- Advanced knowledge of IT and commercial equipment and technologies
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco software and infrastructure
- A keen interest in all things IT related and new technologies
- Strong IT fault-finding skills demonstrating a logical approach
- The ability to undertake fault-handling and manage technical escalations in a timely manner
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- An excellent telephone manner and comfortable dealing with customers over the phone
- The willingness to undertake an extended period of learning to gain relevant qualifications
- An active CCNP certification
- A flexible work ethic, working with the business to find a suitable solution to our customers’ issues
