**Are you seeking a rewarding role where can you enhance a child’s everyday life?**

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support our service user with her complex care needs.

Our service user is a bright and energetic young girl who lives with her lovely family in Blackburn.

She requires care on a 1:1 basis throughout the day and night and we are looking for passionate individuals who have a genuine interest in working with children and are happy to get involved in a range of activities with our service user.

She enjoys lots of interaction and loves playing with her toy kitchen, dolls house and pampering her care team with beauty treatments such as painting nails and make-up.

As a family they often have fun days out in the community, visiting the local park and she particularly enjoys going shopping with Mum.

Recently, she has returned to school where she attends afternoon sessions. Her family are keen for her to return to full time education where her care team may also accompany and support her in the future.

Throughout the night you will tend to her clinical needs and carry out regular observations, ensuring she is always safe and has a comfortable night’s sleep. It is important that you talk her through all interventions to ensure that she is aware and involved in her care.

She is unable to communicate verbally and uses a variety of methods to make her wants and needs known. This can be via gestures and noises or via sign language and Makaton which she and her family are currently learning.

**Essential Experience Required**
- 3 months previous care experience
- Medication Administration
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling

**Desired Experience**
- A genuine interest in working with children
- Tracheostomy Care
- Nebuliser Care
- Makaton / Basic Sign Language

**We have the following shifts available;**
- Part Time - 2 shifts per week
- Days - 7.15am - 3.30pm (Term Time)
- Days - 7.15am - 2.45pm (Non-Term Time)
- Nights - 10pm - 7.30am
