J&D Pierce (Contracts) Ltd are one of the Uk’s leading steel works contractors, working on some of Europe’s most exciting construction projects.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction administrator to join our dynamic team at our Modern Durham office ( Belmont ).

As a Construction Administrator, you will be a vital part of our team, providing crucial administrative support to our construction department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Efficiently provide administrative support to our construction team.
- Maintain meticulous organisation of project files and records.
- Facilitate communication with team members, hire companies, and management to consolidate and distribute information related to confidential projects.
- Professionally and promptly handle phone calls and requests.
- Execute data entry tasks and uphold accurate record-keeping.(lifting tackle
- Assist with budget tracking and expense reporting.
- Knowledge of Bio-site, M-Site, Dalux for induction purposes
- Maintaining databases and completing purchase orders
- Ensuring the servicing and maintenance of lifting equipment/ plant is booked and kept up to date.
- Dealing with holiday requests for construction team, ensuring all records are up to date.

**Requirements**:
**Technical Skills**:

- Minimum of GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced office environment.
- Proficiency in IT, including a strong command of Microsoft Office products.
- Experience managing data through databases and/or Microsoft Excel.

**Soft Skills**:

- Exceptional phone etiquette and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks, such as filing, organisation, and scheduling.
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage work activities effectively.
- Capability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A keen eye for accuracy and unwavering attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- An outgoing, forward-thinking, and adaptable attitude.
- Demonstrated tact, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
