Female Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a person with a Physical and Learning Disability living in the Rutherglen area.
You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home, at day centre and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
- Attending to all personal care needs (showering, toileting including bowel movements, Assisting with medication
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks
- Moving and assisting - pushing manual wheelchair
- Household cleaning on a Friday
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living
Driver essential you will be required to drive a mobility vehicle.
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
Favourite activities are shopping, music, sensory experiences and socialising.
Pets in the household - you must be comfortable working with a dog and cat in the home.
Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
**Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)**
Recruiting for one individual
Guaranteed permanent position of 22 hrs per week
**Days and times**:Monday and Thursday split shift 8am to 10am and then 2.30pm to 4.30 pm
Tuesday 10am to 2pm
Wednesday 10am to 3pm
Friday 9am to 2pm
**Hourly rate**: £12.89 per hour
