**Salary**: £24,702 - £27,334

**Hours**:36.2 Hours Monday - Friday***

**Contract**:Permanent

**Location**:Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service Head Quarters however may require occasional work in our other locations in Greater Manchester

**The Opportunity**

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the People Directorate for a People Service Administrator.

**Who we need**

**Main Responsibilities include**:
Provide a defined administrative service for the Directorate for our internal and external clients, including acting as the first point of contact for the shared phone line
- Provide administration support flexibly across the full range of the People directorate activities, including but not limited to;
- Facilitation and scheduling (including room booking)
- Raising purchase orders & goods receipts
- Post management
- Filing, scanning, record keeping
- Maintenance of the stationary cupboard
- First point of contact, telephone enquiries
- Intranet content and maintenance (as required)
- Data entry including iTrent updates (as required)
- Maintain and develop effective administration processes to meet the changing demands of the organisation.
- Build effective relationships with the broader People team and customers, working collaboratively across the directorate.
- Communicate effectively to ensure all relevant customers are informed and up to date with relevant information, statuses and progress.
- Proactively follow up actions that have not been completed and where information is required from others.
- Maintain and store data, records and documentation appropriately and in line with the Data Protection Act.
- Act in accordance with the law and our values, and ensure that safety, sustainability, partnership working and inclusivity run through all activities.

**What you will need**:Education & Qualifications we need you to hold;**

**Essential**
- Good standard of education including numeracy and literacy, GCSE or equivalent
- Experience of arranging meetings and minute taking

**Desirable**
- Knowledge of Organisational Systems Including Business World On, iTrent & ATS

- Able to demonstrate strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Visio
- Ability to work accurately and methodically

**Essential knowledge & experience we need you to have includes;**
- Providing an administration service within a busy environment
- Experience of Organisational databases
- Delivering against deadlines and achieving prescribed targets to a high standard
- Experience of establishing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Good knowledge of systems, policies and processes required for an administrative environment
- Experience of using IT system to support procedures
