We are looking to recruit a full time **Head of Transition**offering hybrid working from our Head Office in Edmonton, North London. LondonEnergy Ltd operates the second largest waste management companies in the UK, handling and processing nearly 750,000 tonnes of London's waste every year. Our organisation is going through an exciting period of change and this is a phenomenal opportunityto join our Leadership team as we pave the way to the future. The North London Heat and Power Project (NLHPP) is a £1.2bn construction project whose aim is to help tackle the climate emergency through redevelopment of the existing EcoPark, building the greenestEnergy Recovery Facility in the country, as well as replacing legacy buildings with modern recycling facilities. These facilities will play a key role in the UK's transition to carbon net-zero. LondonEnergy Ltd will operate the new facilities being delivered by the NLHPP, so it has a personal stake in the successful execution of the project. Importantly, the organisation must build the knowledge, capability and confidence to operate these new facilitiesas they come on-line. As a Head of Transition, you will be involved in: - Strategy and Target Operating Model (TOM) development - Transition Plan maturation - Portfolio Management - Change Leadership This role will support the Transition Director creating, communicating, and fulfilling, the narrative of change as we transition to the new TOM. **Key accountabilities and responsibilities**: - Bring an understanding of the overall Transition plan, linking key strategic / transition activities across business areas. - Provide support internally and externally through partnering, guidance, as well as challenge where needed. - Consultation and input into transition thinking across the business and with key stakeholders. - Develop the transition plan, workstreams and investment cases aligned to the TOM. - Support the set-up of business area reporting and tracking against transition objectives. - Be able to objectively review transition activity, call out where delivery is not occurring as expected and work with the relevant partners to get progress back on track. - Ongoing monitoring of progress and identification of any required changes to the annual plan or transformation priorities to ensure success. - Own the transition change narrative and ensure alignment with overall TOM. - Manage and ensure the successful delivery of transition activities into business as usual, engaging colleagues and senior partners throughout the process. - Coach business leads and owners to sponsor, own and lead transformational change. - Success will be derived from the role holder's ability to influence stakeholder groups to work to an overarching end-to-end assurance framework that instils confidence and mitigates risks associated with the transition. **Requirements**: - You will be a critical thinker with a consistent record of accomplishment of success in transformation development and execution. - Possess previous transformation experience, including shaping and overseeing a portfolio of diverse programmes; managing both partners and a transformation office to drive action and achieve agreed outcomes. - Have experience in consulting or in-house strategy and transformation roles. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to clearly articulate, influence and challenge senior partners and peers as part of the leadership team. - Strong people motivator with an ability to bring diverse teams together to deliver, engage and mobilise workforces behind the "greater good" even where they may not report directly to them. - Be an excellent communicator. - Having an understanding of the Waste Sector is not essential. **Benefits** - Salary of £85,000 to £95,000 per annum + 15% bonus based on personal performance - All employees will be entitled to 28 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays - Hybrid working and flexible hours.
