This is what sets us apart from other community pharmacies in the local area. We are a busy pharmacy doing more than 6500 items a month at Datchet Village Pharmacy. We also provide a range of services including flu vaccinations, New Medicine Service, Discharge Medicine Service, Community Pharmacy Consultation Service (CPCS), GP CPCS, smoking cessation, supervised consumption service, and other enhanced services.

Dispensers and Technicians are integral to the running of the Pharmacy. We are looking for someone who is a team player, and can take on the following responsibilities:
- Dispensing prescription medicines, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy are maintained at all times.
- Ordering medications from various suppliers in the most profitable way.
- Talking to customers and offering information in a confident, friendly, and professional manner, providing our customers with great service, making them want to visit our Pharmacy again.
- Offering appropriate information to customers on common ailments, symptoms, and products.
- Taking time to understand the customers’ needs, explaining the benefits of the products in a way they understand, and only selling products that are right for the customer.
- Advising customers on the range of Pharmacy services available.
- Supporting and delivering Pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to the Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assessing the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
- Dealing with clinical and legal queries from Healthcare practitioners within the area of competence.
- Responding to customer queries in relation to prescription medicines, informing the Pharmacist of any complaints.
- Ensuring all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
- Ensuring dispensary and consulting rooms are clean, tidy, and free of clutter.
- Ensuring all prescription administration is accurate and completed on time.
- Carrying out all procedures accurately to protect profit and ensure we trade safely and legally.
- Carry out end-of-the-month paperwork and other tasks including audits, near misses, weekly CD balance checks, drug alerts, etc.
- Supporting the responsible pharmacist with the supervision and development of other members of the pharmacy team through coaching and feedback.
- Maintaining a personal development record with the GPhC.
- Keeping up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
- Maintaining annual registration with GPhC.
You will need
- A pharmacy technician qualification or NVQ 2 qualification
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Proof of completion of a recognised training course for Pharmacy Technician or pharmacy dispenser
- Proof of completing your annual Continuing Professional Development requirements if pharmacy registered technician.
Hours of Work and holidays:
- Monday to Friday 9 to 6 pm and some Saturdays 9 to 1 when needed.
- 4 weeks holiday in addition to 8 bank holidays
Salary
- £22,880 to £26000 based on experience.
**Salary**: £23,920.00-£26,000.00 per year
