Apprentice - Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy TechnicianThe post holder will undertake a two-year apprenticeship programme, combining practical training with study to achieve the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician qualification, including Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English (if required).Under the supervision of registered Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists, the apprentice will gain experience across all areas of hospital pharmacy, including medicines receipt, storage, distribution, and dispensing.Duties include maintaining stock control, assisting with ordering, environmental monitoring, and supporting safe disposal of medicines. The apprentice will learn to dispense prescriptions accurately, use pharmacy IT systems, and support medicines management activities on wards.All work will follow Standard Operating Procedures, Good Distribution Practice, and Health and Safety regulations.
