Job Title: Pharmacy Colleague Location: Slough Employment Type: Part time Contract Type: Fixed Term Shift Pattern: Work Shift: Days Hours per Week: 25 Pay Rate: £12.60 Closing Date: 16 December 2025 About the Role To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, offering a wide variety of shift patterns. Weekend working is a requirement of the role, and we may need to be flexible with your work pattern. You will provide a warm and friendly experience, confidently discuss personal health issues, quickly resolve customer problems and direct customers to the right products. You will also spend time accurately assembling and processing prescriptions, drive awareness of all extra services we offer in Pharmacy (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews). You will support the Pharmacist with delivery and record‑keeping of patient services (blood pressure checks, stop‑smoking schemes, etc.). You must develop an understanding of strict Standard Operating Procedures and work to them. You will also collect the customer’s prescription from their doctor's surgery and bring it to the store ready for collection. We will help you become a star Pharmacy colleague – you will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and then train as a Dispensing Assistant to complete your pharmacy training.
