Accrington Academy is seeking an exceptional and driven Assistant Principal to lead on attendance - a crucial role at the heart of our mission to deliver an excellent education and ensure every student can succeed.

As Assistant Principal for Attendance, you will be a strategic leader, responsible for embedding an inclusive, values-led approach to attendance and pastoral care. This is a pivotal position in our senior leadership team, shaping policy, practice, and culture to raise attendance, reduce persistent absence, and ensure all students are actively engaged in school life.

**Your role will include**:

- Leading the development and implementation of a whole-school attendance strategy
- Overcoming barriers to attendance and promoting inclusion and engagement
- Driving a cohesive pastoral system that supports student well-being and success
- Ensuring alignment with academy values and supporting high standards of behaviour
- Being a visible, inspirational presence around the school, building strong relationships with students, families, and staff

You will work closely with the Principal and SLT to lead **transformational change** - embedding a culture of high expectations and support, where attendance is seen as a shared responsibility and a foundation for academic and personal excellence.
