Your new role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Coordination and Admission Officer in the School Admissions Team. The School Admissions Team are responsible for delivering an effective and efficient admissions service to customers and schools and ensuring the best interest of children and families within the City are met. As a Coordination and Admission Officer you will: - Ensure you are knowledgeable on school admission arrangements, be able to work in a highly regulated environment and ensure you are accurate in your advice and actions - Be a strong team member, ensuring our key performance measures are met As a Coordination and Admission Officer you will need to be able to keep clear, comprehensive and accurate records, run accurate reports, have good attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively in writing and in person. You will need to have excellent customer service skills and will need to demonstrate listening skills and the ability to challenge where necessary with confidence and explain your reasoning. This post is demanding, challenging, vast and varied, and it is desirable that as well as experience of working with databases, have at least two years experience of front facing customer focused administrative service. Experience of dealing with difficult customer service issues, handing complaints and ideally working with a database to deliver decisions will be highly essential. **Working pattern** **Initially, around a term of working from the office at the Civic Center and once possible to work on a hybrid working of 2/3 days in the office and 2 days working remote.** What you'll need to succeed: What you'll get in return: If you join the Council, you will enjoy a range of benefits including flexible working, salary sacrifice schemes, **25 days** holiday in a full-time contract (**excluding bank holidays**) and excellent training and development opportunities.
