Are you an experienced PMLD Learning Support Assistant looking for a new challenge?
Aspire People are currently seeking devoted PMLD/SLD specialist support staff for an amazing Special Needs school in the North Birmingham area.
The school requires Learning Support Assistants to fully engage with the children and young people to develop and nurture positive relationships. This will be working on a 1-1 or small groups basis and you will be a source of support for pupils, ensuring theyare motivated, happy and engaged. Being able to form positive relationships with both staff and pupils is imperative as you will have to work closely as a team. All children have an EHCP in place to support their learning needs.
To be successful in this role you will need a calm and empathetic nature, a resilient personality and be able to use your own initiative; health and safety procedures and the welfare of the children are paramount.
Aspire People is dedicated and passionate in helping to improve the education of SEND children across the Birmingham area; supporting local Special Needs Schools in finding the ideal staff that meet the needs of their school community.
To be considered for the position above you will need to have the following minimum requirements:
- Ideally a qualification in Support Teaching and Learning (not essential)
- Experience of supporting pupils with children and young people with PMLD & SLD needs (desirable)
