**Head of Planning** We are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our busy Operations team in Lytham. You will play an integral role in the company’s manufacturing operation, ensuring the availability of finished goods, in line with company objectives. **About the role** Main duties (but not limited to): - Work with the Head of Operations and Production Manager to develop a six-week schedule for manufacturing, considering forecasted sales and current stock levels. - Produce a list of required materials to enable the scheduled production runs and communicate this information to the Buyer. - Keep within the agreed minimum/maximum stock levels. - Ensure production runs are at agreed quantities to maximise equipment and storage space. - On a daily basis, record all inbound of raw material and packaging as well as the transfers of WIP and finished goods - Liaise with the marketing team to ensure any special product promotions are planned in advance. - Work directly with R&D to ensure all new products are introduced effectively - Liaise with QC to co-ordinate the efficient processing of, quality checks "greening" for raw materials and packaging necessary to accommodate the production schedule. **About you** - Previous experience in similar role is essential. - Good IT skills, especially Excel. - Experience of Sage Line 200. - Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills. - Competent at dealing with ever changing demands.
