**Area Sales Manager - Window and Door Hardware**

Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Window and Door Hardware

Industry Sector: Window & Door Hardware, Fenestration, Hardware, Components, Ventilation Products, Fabricators, Resellers, Trade & Retail, Construction, Ironmongery, Mechanical Locks, Door Handles, Cylinders and Door Locks, Friction Stays and Hinges, windowhandles, tilt & turn, reversible gearing etc.

Areas to be covered: a) North West and b) North East & Yorkshire
Remuneration: £45,000 Neg.
Benefits: Fully expensed car and benefits package
The role of the Area Sales Manager - Door Locks and Window Hardware will involve:

- Field sales position selling predominantly a distributed range of window and door hardware components (small element of window & door ventilation products)
- Selling into window & door fabricators (small element of selling to resellers)
- 90%+ account management role
- Responsible for circa 200+ accounts (although 80% of the revenue comes form the top 20-30 customers)
- Inheriting a turnover of circa £3.2m for the North East & Yorkshire and £4m+ for the North West
- Both areas exceeding budget expectations
- Typically 4 customer visits per day, four days per week (one day home working/ admin)

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Door Locks and Window Hardware with:

- All door and window associated industry experience will be considered
- Experience of having sold into window and door fabrications is advantageous but not essential
- Technical knowledge is not required as full product training will be provided
- Proven account management/ relationship building skills
- Grafter mentality, not afraid to put in the hours to be successful
- Knowledge of window and door hardware/ components is not required
- Consultative in approach
- Network on contacts within door and window fabricators is not essential
- Comfortable with monthly reporting and diary planning
- Self motivated, communicative, relationship builder with strong negotiation skills
