Principal Hvac Designer

**_Petrofac is seeking a Principal HVAC Designer - _**_Contractor for 12 months (Ad-hoc), based in Aberdeen, UK._**

**_ The role is outside IR35, and we invite Limited Companies to engage._**

**Scope of Services**:
Services to be supported during the duration of the contract are detailed below. A requirement to undertake additional services shall be mutually agreed by way of contract amendment:

- Accountable for provision of HVAC Engineering within the project organization in accordance with the requirements of the Contract across all project sterams.
- Package Management of allocated HVAC packages.
- Review Client Supplied Scope of Requirement (SOR) and produce Engineering CTR’s.
- HVAC Data retrieval and review.
- Provide input to FEED and Detail Design Project Execution Plans (PEP) including Proposal Documents.
- Provide input to Risk-Opportunity, Cost-Benefit studies.
- Responsibly for the delivery of all HVAC engineering deliverables (philosophies, specifications, Basis of Design (BOD) document, datasheets, calculations, studies, reports, SDRL etc).
- Acting as discipline checker for all HVAC deliverables (D&ID’s, P&ID’s, GA’s etc).
- Coordinating with all disciplines (as necessary) in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring that other departments’ input is incorporated.
- Review associated system drawings, Basis of Design (BOD), Project Execution Plan (PEP) and all relevant client provided data.
- Perform sizing and selection of HVAC equipment to the degree necessary for the stage of project to meet project requirements.
- Ensure equipment compliance with package electrical, structural & instrument specifications, as well as applicable code requirements and national / international standards and client’s specifications.
- Prepare enquiry and purchase requisitions.
- Perform Criticality Ratings for HVAC packages.
- Evaluate bids and prepare technical bid evaluation documentation.
- Management and review of vendor documentation and drawings as required.
- Participation in HAZOP, HAZID and LOPA studies.
- Participation in Design and Constructability reviews.
- Collaboration with relevant engineering and commercial disciplines.
- Attending engineering progress meeting and providing input to planning.
- Support Construction of HVAC packages.
- HVAC package delivery close out and provide input to lesson learned document.
- Ensure that all HVAC engineering work is carried out in accordance with project priorities and schedules as set out in the integrated plan.

**Deliverables**:
Services should be provided to produce the following deliverables where required as part of project specific works, specific clients and durations will be called off as part of the purchase order.

- Work Pack Input.
- Maintenance and Spare Parts Philosophy.

Services should be provided to check the following design deliverables where required as part of project specific works. Key deliverables to include but not limited to:

- HVAC Specifications.
- HVAC Data sheets.
- HVAC Supplier Document Requirement List (SDRL),
- Enquiry and Purchase Requisitions.
- HVAC Equipment Schedule.
- HVAC Calculations.
- Ducting and Instrument Diagram assessment, technical files and associated documentation.
- Construct & Destruct Ducting and Instrument Diagram.
- HVAC General Arrangements and Layout Drawings.
- 3D Models.
- Reports (Surveys / Vendor visits etc).
- Inter-discipline Checks (IDC).
