**_Petrofac is seeking a Principal Piping Designer - _**_Contractor for 12 months based in Aberdeen, UK._**

**_The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage._**

**Scope of Services**:
Services to be supported during the duration of the contract are detailed below. A requirement to undertake additional services shall be mutually agreed by way of contract amendment:

- Provide good knowledge and Understanding of Design Principles
- Application and Understanding of piping software packages (PDMS/ AutoCAD etc)
- Computer literate in Microsoft packages required for the design role
- Compliance with company design procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards.
- Provide design and technical input to produce all relevant detail design deliverables and improvement initiatives
- Provide basic understanding of material selection / specifications and the relevant corrosion mechanisms.
- Liaise with engineers to understand offshore/ onshore survey requirements
- Liaise with other disciplines in the execution of the work and perform Interdisciplinary check of documents where applicable.
- Liaison with Document Control to ensure delivery of all piping design deliverables is in accordance with Petrofac / client procedures.
- Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
- Ensure that all piping work complies with project and Petrofac health, safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures.
- Participate in piping design in design reviews
- Attendance at project / vendor kick-off meetings
- Provide input to progress and planning meetings
- Review of job progress and cost reports regarding piping design activities.
- Ensure that all piping design work is carried out in accordance with asset priorities and schedules as set out in the integrated plan
- Plan and coordinate piping design resources.
- Responsible as a member of the project team for achieving the project target and completion of the project within the budget and schedule

**Deliverables**:
Services should be provided to produce the following deliverables where required as part of project specific works, specific clients and durations will be called off as part of the purchase order.

Key deliverables to include but not limited to:

- Production of construct & destruct Isometrics
- Production of piping general arrangements
- Production of piping bill of materials
- Production of 3D models / layouts (PDMS / AutoCAD etc)
- Production of piping details (pipe supports / penetrations etc.)
- Preparation & maintenance of piping deliverable registers
- Production of piping schedules (Pipe support / TP’s)
- Production of model slides for piping design reviews
- Preparation of piping reports (Surveys / Vendor visits etc)
- Preparation of Piping SoW

Services should be provided to check and verify or approve the following design deliverables where required as part of project specific works. Key deliverables to include:

- Stress isometrics
- Piping general arrangements
- Piping bill of materials
- Piping details (pipe supports / penetrations etc.)
- Piping schedules (Pipe support / TP’s)
- Model slides for piping design reviews
- Piping deliverable registers
