**What you’ll be doing**
As the **Flow and Event Duration Monitor (EDM) Lead**, you’ll provide guidance and leadership to a small team of technical specialists at a pivotal time for the industry. Through your direction and understanding of our regulatory framework, you’llassist the business in ensuring our flow data is of the highest quality and provide operational performance insight.
You’ll lead a team of 3 technical specialists whose purpose is to ensure we understand our performance through the implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) which provides us with robust data. Through the implementation of the QMS, you’ll be ableto answer requests for data from internal and external parties and ensure we meet our regulatory requirements and compliance regarding our flow data.
You’ll work closely with our regulators during a time of change and collaborate with other water companies across industry working groups as well as internal management teams to help shape future regulations and ensure we comply with all requirements.
**The key accountabilities of the role include**:

- Guiding and supporting a small team of technical specialists
- Working with senior leaders to develop a company strategy for flow compliance
- Responding to requests for flow data from internal and external parties
- Collaborating with the wider industry to develop common standards
- Attending industry working groups and conferences
- Developing and maintaining our MCERT quality management system
- Providing operational performance insight into flow compliance
- Working with IT teams in the development of new digital performance tools
- Meeting with our regulators to discuss current performance

**We’re looking for you to**:

- **Understand the regulatory framework surrounding flow/storm permit compliance** including MCERT, reporting, storm overflow, and other flow permit requirements (essential)
- **Be a credible leader** with the drive and motivation to deliver, leading, and supporting the team, and promoting a culture of performance management
- **Have excellent communication** and interpersonal skills, to clearly interact with our stakeholders
- **Work with, and influence, teams** from across operational and capital delivery departments
- Have an **analytical mindset and the ability to interpret performance through data**:

- Possess the ability to **present complex data in a concise and understandable way**:

- Have experience of working with **data and graphical user interfaces**:

- Be experienced **in developing and maintaining MCERT Quality Management Systems** (preferable)
- Be knowledgeable in **wastewater treatment and network processes** (preferable)
