**Description**
In a busy and varied finance manager role, based in York duties and responsibilities will include however not limited to;
- To record all the financial transactions of the business in a manner that meets all statutory, mandatory and discretionary requirements.
- To set the start budget and maintenance of school budgets, and to routinely provide effective budgetary control and forecasting.
- To undertake special projects or assignments relating to the school finances as required by the senior management team.
- Develop new ways of presenting information, through ICT systems.
- Responsible for internal and external financial reporting including Board reports,
Management Accounts, funding reports.
**Profile**
We're looking for someone with;
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Ability to supervise, train and mentor staff and prioritise their work
- Experience in management accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and forecasting and planning.
- Experience shaping strategic and business planning processes and confident challenging senior staff
- Knowledge of accounting systems.
