Workforce Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Workforce Coordinator in Administration to join the NG Bailey team, based at our offices in Leeds
**The main duties will include**:
- Comply with Health and Safety processes to ensure that the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive throughout all activities undertaken
- Ensure that the management and use of direct employment, temporary workers and subcontractors is all in accordance with the key principles of the Engineering Labour Strategy.
- Maintain accurate regional databases of labour deployment, site location, and team allocation. Working with the central L&D function, office manager and the business performance team, contribute to the maintenance of local training/competence records and the communication of mandatory training requirements to workforce. Encourage the use of directly employed operatives in line with the Engineering Labour Strategy to fulfil project requirements. Use only the Engineering Talent Pool for external recruitment and liaise with all other National Labour Team members on inter-regional transfers to suit the needs of the business. Ensure that project teams, team assistants and team assistants are conversant with the time and attendance sign off process, providing support and training where required and providing level one sign off if necessary
- Work with operations and project managers, to ensure that labour requirements on all projects are successfully planned and prepared for. Attend pre-mobilisation meetings as required and provide support and advice on resourcing requirements, including the supervisory structure, compliance with Engineering labour strategy and the use of temporary workers.
- Offer guidance and feedback to maximise the performance of the supervisory community, supporting project managers in their understanding and deployment of the Engineering Supervisory Structure. Support and encourage all aspects of the supervisor development program, reinforce the significance of the supervisor role and promote positive engagement with supervisors at all times. Ensure that effective performance reviews are conducted for all weekly paid employees in your area of control, encouraging supervisors to effectively manage their team’s performance, providing guidance and support where required. Develop meaningful relationships with the payroll team to enable effective resolution of any Gane/payroll matters.
- Understand the National Working Rule Agreements and ensure regional project and operational activities remain compliant. This includes the renewal of ECS/SKILL cards, and any other trade specific competence based requirements
- Support the Labour Manager to manage all regional day to day employee and industrial relations matters. Anticipate areas of industrial relations risk. Promote good employee relations within your region and work with the Labour Manager to actively support all national employee and industrial relations initiatives
Desirable Requirements
- Experienced in using Microsoft office programmes in relation to administration duties.
- Demonstrable experience in managing a workforce across multiple sites.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Employment and Industrial Relations matters.
