AWS Cloud Engineer - Coventry (Hybrid) - £60,000 to £65,000

We’re currently recruiting for 2 AWS Cloud Engineers to join a technology giant who is embarking on a cloud transformation programme across an enterprise environment of more than 7000 employees. The Cloud Engineers will work closely with their Cloud ServiceProvider and define frameworks, processes and governance.

Key responsibilities for the AWS Cloud Engineer:

- Accountable for support, maintenance, availability, proactive monitoring and optimal use of their Cloud environment
- Provide technical assurance for the AWS tenant managed by our service provider
- Accountable for providing technical assurance and insight during high priority incidents and problem management related to IT services, validating root cause analysis reports, corrective actions and delivering rectification plans
- Accountable for standards, processes, playbooks, and framework documents to set clear expectations and controls for the AWS environment

Essential Experience for the AWS Cloud Engineer:

- Minimum AWS Associate level qualification, Professional preferred
- Proven track record managing cloud platforms - AWS specifically, Azure would be beneficial
- A solid understanding of DevOps in a cloud environment
- Deep technical knowledge across the following areas:

- Public Cloud Architecture, AWS, and associated tools and technologies (EC2, ELB, RDS, E3)
- Server operating systems administration and maintenance, including Microsoft and Linux
- Experience and understanding of automation and tools, including Ansible
- IaC using tools like CloudFormation
- Monitoring technologies (Nimsoft/Dynatrace/AWS CloudWatch
- Strong knowledge of script development and scripting languages (Powershell)
- Shared Services i.e. Active Directory, Middleware, Printing, Certificate Management
