AWS ArchitectWe're looking for a skilled AWS Architect or experienced AWS Engineer to join our growing team. This is a crucial role where you'll lead the design and implementation of best-practice AWS cloud solutions that support the future direction of our industry-leading recruitment businesses and new enterprises. As an AWS Architect/Engineer, you will:Lead technical design and architecture of AWS solutions across multi-account estatesDefine, develop, and publish architectural artefacts using Infrastructure-as-CodePartner with development teams to drive standardisation, automation, and cloud-native adoptionConduct architecture reviews and continuously improve platform architecture based on AWS advancementsSupport engineering teams with optimisation, issue resolution and troubleshootingAct as a subject matter expert on AWS security, networking, and service adoptionThe successful AWS Solution Architect/Engineer will have:Proven experience shaping cloud architecture strategiesExpertise in AWS reference architectures, patterns, and platform designDevOps knowledge and experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation toolingExcellent communication skills, with a confident ability to engage stakeholders at all levelsA strong grasp of AWS security models, policies, and network configurationsExperience working in Agile delivery environmentsIt would be a bonus if you also have:AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or AWS speciality certifications)Experience of: LZA, DevOps, EKS; Autoscaling/Karpenter; CloudWatch; system and network performance monitoring; cost and performance optimisation; serverless; Aurora and RDS databases; Blue/Green deploymentsExperience mentoring engineersWhat's in it for you:Up to £66k salary plus benefitsAbility to work from home and/or in the office34 days annual leave (including 4 customary days) plus options to buy more annual leave or carry over unused annual leave, plus bank holidaysGenerous Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemeAccess to internal communities for wellbeing and innovation, including 1 innovation day per sprint to work on innovative personal projects that align with company goalsOngoing learning and developmentA great work environment with a friendly and supportive teamThe opportunity to lead the cloud infrastructure strategy that will underpin our future successesPerson specProactive ownership and accountability traits strongIndependent thinkers and strong self-relianceWorks well in a teamHappy to lead as well as respond to developers and testers and take their requirements and deliver working solutionsStrong strategic and tactical abilities, i.e. experience of writing multi-year cloud strategies as well as 1-6 month roadmapsExperience of mentoring and coaching people in their team
