AWS Architect We're looking for a skilled AWS Architect or experienced AWS Engineer to join our growing team. This is a crucial role where you'll lead the design and implementation of best-practice AWS cloud solutions that support the future direction of our industry-leading recruitment businesses and new enterprises. As an AWS Architect/Engineer, you will: Lead technical design and architecture of AWS solutions across multi-account estates Define, develop, and publish architectural artefacts using Infrastructure-as-Code Partner with development teams to drive standardisation, automation, and cloud-native adoption Conduct architecture reviews and continuously improve platform architecture based on AWS advancements Support engineering teams with optimisation, issue resolution and troubleshooting Act as a subject matter expert on AWS security, networking, and service adoption The successful AWS Solution Architect/Engineer will have: Proven experience shaping cloud architecture strategies Expertise in AWS reference architectures, patterns, and platform design DevOps knowledge and experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling Excellent communication skills, with a confident ability to engage stakeholders at all levels A strong grasp of AWS security models, policies, and network configurations Experience working in Agile delivery environments It would be a bonus if you also have: AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or AWS speciality certifications) Experience of: LZA, DevOps, EKS; Autoscaling/Karpenter; CloudWatch; system and network performance monitoring; cost and performance optimisation; serverless; Aurora and RDS databases; Blue/Green deployments Experience mentoring engineers What's in it for you: Up to £66k salary plus benefits Ability to work from home and/or in the office 34 days annual leave (including 4 customary days) plus options to buy more annual leave or carry over unused annual leave, plus bank holidays Generous Defined Benefit (DB) pension scheme Access to internal communities for wellbeing and innovation, including 1 innovation day per sprint to work on innovative personal projects that align with company goals Ongoing learning and development A great work environment with a friendly and supportive team The opportunity to lead the cloud infrastructure strategy that will underpin our future successes Person spec Proactive ownership and accountability traits strong Independent thinkers and strong self-reliance Works well in a team Happy to lead as well as respond to developers and testers and take their requirements and deliver working solutions Strong strategic and tactical abilities, i.e. experience of writing multi-year cloud strategies as well as 1-6 month roadmaps Experience of mentoring and coaching people in their team
