At the heart of this, our UK Poultry division produces a third of all poultry eaten in the UK and represents more than half of 2 Sisters’ business by sales. The division employs over 9,000 people working in a chilled environment to process poultry products which are then marketed to UK consumers via major retailers.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
As the Health, Safety, and Environment Advisor for one of the UKs largest poultry production sites, you’ll be responsible for providing all levels of the business with the highest possible quality of advice. You will also report on, plan, and continually improve processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Welfare legislation.

As part of the role, there will be courses available to continue your personal and professional development, as well as upskilling with relevant FMCG risk assessment courses.

Day to day you can expect the role to involve:

- Providing HSE advise to colleagues of all levels at both 2SFG Site D and Site E production facilities,
- Working alongside, and reporting directly into, the HSE Manager to ensure best practise and site compliance,
- Contribute to the development of the two sites health & safety plan and the monitoring of performance,
- Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents; ensure that these have been properly investigated and the root causes have been identified; and the correct remedial actions are implemented,
- Ensure systems are in place to capture and promote the reporting of safety concerns and implementation of corrective actions,
- Receive information from the Group and Divisional Health and Safety team, and HSE Manager and brief the management team accordingly,
- Collate and analyse accident statistics and performance information for trends and implement appopriate counter measures,
- Provide advice and assistance to the management team to help them achieve their responsibilities, identify hazards, and eliminate or control risks,
- Advise management on how to implement a suitable and effective site audit programme and undertake site audits of the safety management system to ensure it remains effective,
- Keep up to date with new H&S legislation, company and other safety information and brief the management team accordingly,
- Co-ordinate the 2SFG Health, Safety and Fire Audits,
- Coordinate and assist with the timely investigation and formal responses to Insurers in relation to personal injury claims.

**ABOUT YOU**:
If you’re fanatical about food and have the can-do spirit that’s created our success, Bring those qualities, with the following and you will have the recipe for success:

- A recognised Health and Safety Qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent).
- Ideally manufacturing experience.
- Must be proactive, solutions driven and able to clearly demonstrate a track record of achievement in a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience of carrying out Health & Safety audits.
- Expertise or awareness of ISO 14001 or 450001 desirable.
- Will be robust, assertive and able to withstand pressure and remain firm and decisive.
