Aldermore Bank was founded 15 years ago, and is a UK based Specialist Lending Bank providing debt to consumers via Mortgages and Buy to Let loans, Motor Consumer finance and various specialist solutions for SME lending. The balance sheet is mainly funded via Retail Deposits, and Aldermore is a 100% subsidiary of First Rand of South Africa. Our stated purpose is to back people to go for it in life and business.

SaS provides debt solutions for SME business including Asset Finance, Invoice and Receivables Finance and Real Estate Finance, including Investment, Development and select Owner/Occupier business supported by real estate. Reporting to the Commercial Director and as part of the Asset Finance Leadership Team, this role is responsible for leading a combined front line Asset Finance Analyst Team ensuring alignment to the division’s objective to deliver an effective and successful SME and mid-corporate financing proposition and ambition to be the Business Funder of First Choice and industry leader for service delivery across all of the Asset Finance specialist business lines.

**What will your day look like?**
- Holds management accountability for the first line Analyst team, develops, establishes and approves long term vision and strategy for the function and is a member of the divisional senior leadership team.
- Build a diverse team with direct people management responsibility for all Analysts enabling a smooth and efficient service to the wider team enabling them to focus on business development.
- Achievement of financial KPIs, both strategic and operational as well as developing process optimisation to leverage growth in each of the business lines
- To lead the development and delivery of new and existing products through the various sales channels with the Head of each business and Portfolio Management team
- To contribute to the formulation and achievement of the wider Structured & Specialist Finance strategy
- As part of the senior team, deliver service, income, and profit streams from all products in line with plans and budgets
- Ensure compliance with the Bank’s conduct rules and drive a strong risk culture across the Structured & Specialist Finance division
- To deliver capacity and capability through upskilling the team and consolidating each of the current Analyst teams into one.
- To lead the development of individuals and team so that local and wider objectives can be met
- To ensure the training and development of the Analyst individuals is appropriate to deliver on our near
- and long-term objectives
- To enable each of the Asset Finance businesses to deliver in line with standards and targets across all areas including financial and non-financial customer and portfolio performance
- To contribute as appropriate to the wider strategy of the Structured & Specialist Finance business
- To lead the development and implementation of strategies for new products and sales channels
- To create an environment to support the long-term growth of the business
- To act as champion and deliver new product initiatives across the wider business along with the business heads
- To act as point person in key supplier management for Commercial Director Asset Finance
