BCHA is seeking a Housing Co-ordinator (15 hours per week) to assist with the management of one of BCHAs Sheltered Housing Schemes to deliver efficiently managed housing which delivers excellent customer service.

**JOB PURPOSE**:
To lead on the day to day management of BCHAs sheltered tenancies. To provide assistance and support to the Senior Housing Officer to deliver efficiently managed housing which delivers excellent customer service.
- Oversee the day to day running of the designated sheltered scheme.
- The timely & accurate reporting of responsive repairs and subsequent enquires managed through our Housing Management System.
- Carry out reviews and manage Support Plans on a day-to day-basis, ensuring that residents are receiving the appropriate support to manage their needs and tenancies.
- Carry out pre-allocations, sign ups and other Housing Management tasks as required. Assist the Senior Housing Officer with managing voids.
- Deputise for the Senior Housing Officer when absent or as necessary.
- Manage day-to-day contact with customers including carrying out welfare checks, visits, phone calls, and activities within sheltered housing schemes.
- Oversee all of the relevant Health and Safety checks within schemes in the appropriate timeframes and record them.
- Maintain thorough records of all contact with residents using the IT systems appropriate.
- Carry out continuous dynamic risk assessing while carrying out daily duties.
- Line manage or oversee housekeeping staff onsite at the schemes.
- Achieving set objectives.
- Repairs are report in a timely & accurate manner and completed within the designated time frame.
- All Support Plans are reviewed annually and tenants are supported to maintain their tenancy.
- Property allocations are completed in a timely manner in line with Key Performance Indicators.
- The duties of the Senior Housing Officer are completed when required.
- Customers are satisfied with the services provided. Contributing to the improvement customer satisfaction levels as measured by satisfaction surveys against a set target.
- All Health and Safety checks are completed and recorded in a timely manner.
- Records are recorded with in Housing Management & Support Planning Systems.
- Safe lone working is achieved
- Sheltered schemes are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.

- Strong record keeping skills (E )** Knowledge/Experience**
- An understanding of the needs of older people (E)
- Experience of supporting people to remain independent (D)
- Experience of using a Housing Management System (D)
- An awareness of issues relating to Professional Boundaries (E) and SOVA (E)
- Experience, knowledge or of carrying out Health and Safety assessments.(D)
- Knowledge of property repairs.(D)
**Special Requirements**:
There may be occasions when the role holder will need to travel to BCHAs sites and will therefore, need the ability to travel between these.
