**The Company;**
I am delighted to be supporting my client, an independent charity responsible for the management and upkeep of the city’s parks and allotments, with their search for an HR Advisor to join them for 22.2 hours per week.The organisation is passionate about theprovision of free to enter, safe and well-maintained parks and allotments for people of all ages, communities and backgrounds to enjoy.
**The Role;**
Reporting into the Business Manager, the HR Advisor will be a key member of the Operations team, providing support to circa 60 employees across the three business units; Parks and Allotments, Enterprise and Operations.
Key elements of the role include:
- Recruitment, selection and induction of staff
- Providing advice and support on a range of HR matters, e.g. performance management, disciplinary, grievance, absence management, wellbeing, capability, and restructure
- Working closely with line managers to develop and enhance their people management knowledge and skills
- Developing and maintaining policies and procedures, in line with best practice and relevant employment legislation, ensuring fit for business purposes
- Projects, including Reward & Recognition development
- Reviewing rotas, holidays, flexitime records and liaising with payroll to produce accurate information
- Supporting with month end payroll activities
- Leading on the organisation of staff training days, staff forum, and coordinating, producing and issuing regular HR information to staff
- Supporting development and maintenance of electronic HR system
- Attending internal meetings as and when required, recording and producing accurate notes
The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with the opportunity to spend time in the office and at home.Working 22.2 hours per week, there is flexibility to spread hours across 3 - 5 days (by agreement).
Salary on offer £17,302 (based on £28,000 full time equivalent)
**The Person;**
- Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
- Experienced in implementing effective recruitment campaigns
- Able to undertake research and develop policies, procedures, initiatives, projects and events
- Able to build and maintain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders
