We have an opportunity in our Bristol Studio for a **Marketing and Bid Assistant**. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Coordinator, this is a role that involves being an integral part of a highly effective and fast paced regional marketing team.
**About the role**
This is a varied and exciting position in which you will support the studio and the Bristol senior marketing coordinator, engaging with studio leadership as well as the wider marketing and communications teams around the practice to streamline BDP’s work-winning efforts.
The role will involve feeding into bids and preparing documents in Word, Excel and InDesign, maintaining marketing collateral, maintaining marketing database and registrations on client portals and assisting at events, as well as other marketing related tasks.
You will be organised and methodical with strong writing and interpersonal skills, along with an established understanding of marketing. Experience within the design or construction industry would be ideal but other backgrounds will be considered. This role will organically develop in line with the right applicant’s skillset, and could lead into project team support, employer branding support and end of project reporting.
**Tasks**:
- Support the Bristol marketing team in the bid process. This will include reading and understanding key bid deliverables, helping produce and format content for submission documents, completing prequalification questionnaires and tender documents
- Coordinating and preparing marketing materials
- Helping organise internal and external events
- Collating and maintaining sector/group/professional marketing information
- Undertaking research for marketing purposes
- Supporting client-focused marketing and business development plans and initiatives
- Supporting other marketers around the practice in marketing related tasks, if required
**Skills**:
- Excellent communication skills, especially written English
- Organised and methodical
- Ability to compile, edit and proofread texts
- Willingness to learn and use BDP’s Marketing Information Management systems effectively (Open Asset, Zoho, Deltek) and provide guidance to other staff in their proper use
- Ability to build relationships internally and externally
- Ability to manage the workload in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Possess a proactive, understanding, and flexible approach to dealing with issues and achieving collective goals
- Ability to act in a confidential manner when dealing with all BDP activities and not divulge any information concerning the work being undertaken or any other BDP business, either internally or externally
