Junior Scrum Master

It's an exciting time for us as we continue to grow our business to achieve our strategic objective to become the Best and Biggest Digital Insurer in the UK. With this growth in mind, we are now looking for Junior Scrum Master to join us on our journey.
Working with an Agile delivery team within Underwriting Delivery and Change to support successful delivery of high quality software changes across Advantage insurance products. Supporting the Scrum team by removing impediments, ensuring Agile ceremonies fulfilthe purpose they are designed for and improving the KPIs of the team through regular retrospectives.
This role will also involve contributing to the maturity, performance and growth of the Agile team, and maintaining a spirit of teamwork and collaboration. Working closely with a very experienced product development team, the role holder will be a key driverof improved delivery efficiency and performance.
**Accountabilities**
**_Your remit will include the following:_**
- Guide and coach the Scrum team in the Agile Methodologies
- Remove impediments to support timely delivery of committed changes
- Drive a culture of relentless improvement through regular Inspect and Adapt sessions to improve the Scrum Team's KPI (velocity, defects, estimation accuracy etc)
- Ensure Agile ceremonies retain the purpose they are designed for and remain adequate, efficient and effective
- Accountable for record keeping in the System of Record, ensuring updates are made in a timely manner and are reflecting the correct status at all times
- Lead Sprint Planning Activities, and drive Sprint Planning readiness from within the Scrum team
- Facilitate Agile Release Train sync sessions, to ensure risks and dependencies are effectively managed
- Assist with the management of project risks and dependencies
- Facilitate communication through discussion, decision making, conflict resolution and ensuring stakeholders are aware of activities and progress; encouraging transparency and radiating information
- Provide regular feedback to line managers for member of the Scrum team
- Maintain a trusted environment that encourages collaboration, problem solving, engagement, communication, innovation and motivation across all resources, including external parties
- Drive agile team growth and maturity through the implementation and coaching of agile methodologies and tools
- Create a safe environment for team collaboration, learning and fun.

**Skills, Knowledge & Experience**:
Essential
- 2+ years practical experience working as an Agile Professional in a software change / delivery management role
- Familiarity or knowledge across the following areas (or comparable equivalents):
- Agile development techniques and practices e.g. Scrum, XP, Kanban and SAFe
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Tools & Technologies:
- ALM Octane, JIRA or equivalent tools
Desirable
- Familiarity or knowledge across the following areas (or comparable equivalents):
- LEAN
- Project and programme management
- Understanding of automation toolsets supporting CI/CD- Jenkins
- GitHub
**Qualifications**:
- One or more Certified Agile qualifications
