Community Service Leader

We are currently seeking a front of house Community Service Leader for our fantastic LIV Student accommodation in Sheffield.
Based at Ecclesall Road, you will help the General Manager and the team to assist with running our amazing student residence in Sheffield. You will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of customer service with a focus on community and resident well-being. You will be the first point of contact on the main reception desk, dealing with all front-line queries both in person, over the telephone and via digital communication channels. An ability as a methodical multi-tasker is essential.
You will help to manage and run our programme of social events which enhance the student experience for our residents by helping to drive a community culture and a sense of belonging amongst residents.
Daily front of house operations, community, and resident well-being, event programming and resident communication form a key part of the role, together with the administration of information and data for the purposes of accurate reporting and record keeping.
It is essential that you have the ability to work on your own as well as part as a team and can communicate effectively at all levels.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Lead front of house and telephone support; managing and dealing with day to day queries.
- Engaging with residents to help provide a ‘home-from-home’ experience.
- Arranging and develop student experience, culture “SPIRIT” through, programming, initiatives, events and administration.
- Actively engage with residents through company online platforms, such as MyLiv app, responding to news feeds posts, direct messages and posting regular on the news feed.
- Maintain visual promotions of up and coming programming/events and community lead initiatives.
- Be proactive and inform the management team of any problems and situations arising.
- Ensuring customer expectations and satisfaction is achieved in line with the National Code of Standards and Liv Student’s own procedures.
- Be fully conversant with the residences’ Mental Health awareness protocols; be able to direct students to specialist resources and be able to deal with emergency situations if they arise.
- Actively maintain relevant messaging to residents on wellbeing and external support services.
- Actively seek and act on resident feedback to improve services.
- Ensuring a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Ensure visitors and contractors are signed in and out of the site in accordance with procedures.
- Ensuring all office administration is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain records of residents, occupancy lists and relevant notes on resident’s accounts.
- Check daily night services logs and record and inform management of any incidences.
- Implementation and following of financial controls in line with financial operating procedures.
- Use of the computerised internal booking and finance package to manage financial information.
- Ensure billing is completed in line with company procedures as set out by LIV Students.
- Effective and accurate credit control to ensure no outstanding debt on client accounts, taking remedial actions to collect outstanding debt in line with policies and procedures of LIV Student.
- Play a key role during the client move in and client move out process to provide a smooth transition for the client whilst ensuring all administrative, operational and financial aspects are completed to a high standard.
**Experience Required**
- Previous administrative experience in a client facing service industry.
- Previous experience of business development/sales and/or facilities and/or prior financial knowledge including credit and cost control would be desirable.
- Strong understanding of business planning in terms of process and presentation.
- Proven presentation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective planning and time management.
- Familiarity with the 18-25 year market and/or current youth trends
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
- Familiarity with social media platforms
**Circumstances**
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours as determined by the needs of the business.
- Ability to work days and weekends including bank holidays as required during busy periods.
- Ability to work at key periods throughout July, August and September, as requested by the General Manager, to assist with the intake of students.

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
