**PSM HR Outsourcing - Egham, Surrey**

**£30,000 to £35,000 per annum (dependent upon experience) with generous holidays and benefits.**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Officer to join PSM, a team of Human Resource professionals, specialising in providing outsourced HR support to more than 80 SMEs, as well as UK subsidiaries of international organisations and due to the recognition of the value that we offer our clients and the requirements of our existing clients, we now need to appoint a senior HR professional to join the team.

You should be a friendly, fun, decisive, knowledgeable and commercially experienced HR Officer. We are a bijou office with a large client base and a team who enjoy having fun (we really do laugh a LOT) and play hard in order to go above and beyond with their clients, as whilst being an outsourced resource, we operate very much internally as a core aspect of our clients business and they love us

We offer the successful HR Officer a great scope and variety of work, hands-on work with disciplinary, grievance etc. hearings and investigations and you will also have your own client allocation to run as you see fit. We like to support and develop and a work-life balance is the norm here not the aim.

In this role, the HR Officer will be supporting the senior management teams of our client companies, encompassing every major commercial sector, who will value your judgement and commercial expertise as much as your professional HR knowledge. With a stable career to date and a sound, generalist HR background, you will be involved with all aspects of “front end” operational, HR management

**Core responsibilities of the HR Officer will include**:

- Maintain an awareness of the requirements of employment law and best practice to ensure clients comply with all legal requirements and to provide sound advice to senior managers and key stakeholders
- Develop and maintain appropriate and effective HR strategies and ensure that these are communicated and implemented with our clients in a manner that supports their corporate objectives
- Advise clients on a range of HR related issues including recruitment and selection, employee relations, organisational development, training and development, performance management, compensations, benefits, disciplinary, grievance and restructuring processes
- Business partnering with clients
- Identify and define a client’s implicit and explicit HR requirements
- Oversee the screening and vetting process for two major clients
- Lead client HR projects, including planning, co-ordinating, monitoring, resourcing and providing management information on projects to secure key objectives are achieved to our client’s satisfaction
- Continuously review services provided and improve these to meet client objectives
- Deliver projects within agreed time, budget and quality standards
- Mentor the administration team with support and guidance
- Provide coaching and support for the development of the clients management team

**Required Competencies**:

- Good interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to provide advice, guidance and support to managers, staff & employee reps
- Comfortable reporting to and supporting senior managers and key stakeholders
- Diplomacy and confidence to “challenge” clients in an appropriate context
- Comfortable making own decisions in an autonomous yet supportive “learning” environment
- A highly effective communicator, able to concisely articulate ideas both verbally in writing
- Strong planning, organisational and time management skills
- Innovative at trying to meet client needs
- Meticulous and takes pride in producing work of a high standard
- Interest in personal development both for yourself and the team as a whole
- Working Knowledge of web based HRI Systems

**Essential Skill Set**:

- CIPD qualified (or equivalent), with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an HR Officer
- Sound knowledge of employment law and best practice
- Proven track record working with senior managers and key stakeholders
- Confidence in developing HR policies
- Experience of the whole recruitment process
- Experience of supporting managers with elements of performance management
- Experience of leading and managing projects for a successful client outcome
- Excellent Microsoft package skills (word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
