**HR Manager** **PSM HR Outsourcing - Egham, Surrey - circa £45k + car allowance plus benefits + flexible working** **Why work for one Company and sector when you can broaden your experience and expertise by working across multiple Companies and over 20 sectors?** An opportunity has arisen to join PSM, an experienced team of Human Resource professionals, specialising in providing outsourced HR support to more than 70 SME’s, as well as UK subsidiaries of international organisations and due to the recognition of thevalue that we offer our clients and the requirements of our existing clients, we now need to appoint a further senior HR professional to join the team. **After initial induction and learning you can work 2 days from home and 3 days in the office to provide a work-life balance.** **Who are you?** You are a friendly, fun, decisive, knowledgeable and commercially experienced HR Manager. PSM have a large client base and a team who enjoy fun and play hard in order to go above and beyond with their clients, as whilst being an outsourced resource, we operatevery much internally as a core aspect of our clients business. With a stable career to date and a sound HR background, you will be a generalist HR professional involved with all aspects of "front end" operational, HR management. Ideally qualified to degree level in either HR or Law, you will have sound knowledge of current UK employment law and process and be knowledgeable and comfortable discussing when asked about existing and projected changes in legislation and case law. Youwill be multi-sector disciplined and used to running formal meetings and hearings at all levels, often dealing with complex situations, with particular emphasis on restructure, redundancy and TUPE transfers. You will able to provide a client with a range of potential responses to issues and be both proactive and reactive to both foresee situations, react positively, prevent them worsening and finally, to resolve them. You will be experienced enough to know thedifference between the right process and the right outcome when weighing up cost, time and desired commercial and ethical outcome for the client, whilst maintaining fairness and adherence to law and internal policies and procedures. Occasionally there willbe the need to prepare for, coordinate and potentially act as an advocate for ET’s on behalf of our clients. **Core responsibilities will include**: - Maintaining a sound awareness of up to date employment law and best practice to ensure clients comply with all legal requirements and provide sound advice to senior managers and key stakeholders - Drafting bespoke employment documentation i.e. contracts, handbooks and policies etc. - Advise clients on a range of HR related issues including employee relations, performance management, organisational development, training and development, recruitment and selection, compensations, benefits, disciplinary, grievance and restructuring processes - Actively manage disciplinary, grievance and similar investigation procedures or the implementation of restructuring, TUPE transfers, redundancy or similar processes for clients across the UK - HR projects, including planning, co-ordinating, monitoring, resourcing and providing management information on projects to secure key objectives are achieved to our client’s satisfaction and agreed standards - Provide coaching and support for the development of the clients management team & employees **Required Competencies**: - Ability to provide advice, guidance and support to managers, staff & employee reps - Diplomacy and confidence to "challenge" clients in an appropriate context - Comfortable making decisions in an autonomous yet supportive "learning" environment - A highly effective communicator, able to concisely articulate ideas both verbally and in writing - Ability to think on your feet, installing confidence in others, both in relation to your own abilities, but also the range of support available from PSM to its clients. - Strong planning, organisational and time management skills - Meticulous and take pride in producing work of a high standard - Working Knowledge of web based HRI Systems **Essential Skill Set**: - CIPD part or full qualified (or equivalent i.e. Employment Law), with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior and responsible HR Advisory role - Sound knowledge of employment law and best practice - Proven track record working with senior managers and key stakeholders - Experience in the management of the whole recruitment process - Experience of leading our clients in implementing performance management procedures - Excellent Microsoft package skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) - Driving Licence with own car as client visits are required **Benefits**: - Pension scheme - Onsite parking - 4X Life Assurance - 23 days holiday increasing to 25 days - An environment where you will develop an exceptional knowledge of the general HR function and Employment Law - Joining a fun and yet highly professional team of HR professionals
