Management Accountant

**Management Accountant - FTC - ARDYH865052 - Home based**

**Purpose of the Role**

This exciting new remote based opportunity has arisen to join our Finance team on a 6 month fixed term contract. Reporting to one of our Senior Management Accountants, you will be working to support the preparation of divisional month end management accounts.

**What you will do**

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more.

**General Ledger**
- Calculation of month end accruals, including revenue, and prepayments.
- Completion of balance sheet reconciliations as assigned.
- Review bank reconciliations prepared by finance staff, including investigation and resolution of reconciling items.
- Responsible for weekly bank deposits and reconciliation of ad hoc receipts.
- Verify that all data is extracted across various operating systems into the general ledger.

**Sales Ledger**
- Assist with reconciliation and reporting of aged debtor balances on a monthly basis.
- Drive resolutions of aged debtor balances between relevant internal and external parties.
- Post bank receipts into various operating and accounting systems.
- Completion of income transfers into office accounts across various operating systems.

**Purchase Ledger**
- Post, reconcile and report creditor activity and assist with credit control within the division.
- Process payments within agreed SLA’s.
- Investigation of overhead costs variances and reporting of findings to senior staff.

**Other key responsibilities**
- Mentoring of finance staff.
- Support to deliver Finance department projects as undertaken.
- Always meet stakeholders needs and requirements in a timely fashion and adhere to company values.

**Who we are looking for**

We are looking for someone who has/is:

- AAT qualified or equivalent, including QBE
- Experience using Exchequer or other suitable accounting packages
- Advanced Excel skills

This is an opportunity for a self-disciplined, organised individual with strong relationship building skills, who can articulate well across all mediums. You will need to have excellent attention to detail, ability to think through a problem laterally andhave capacity to trouble-shoot maintaining a high level of accuracy. A quick learner, who can work under pressure, with integrity and assertiveness, to work timely and efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
