Due to the growth of the company we have an amazing opportunity for an **inspirational room lead** to join the team working **30 hours per week** all year round. You must lead by example, motivate and encourage the development of the preschool room to achieve outstanding standards for the children in their care

**Job Purpose**: To effectively manage a small team of Early Years Practitioners (EYP), Apprentices, Students and volunteers to ensure outstanding high quality, consistent and inclusive care, and education opportunities are provided for children 0-5 years in line with Ofsted requirements

**Responsible to**: The Nursery Manager, Area Manager and Company Directors

**Responsible For**:A small team of EYP, Apprentices, Students and volunteers.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- To support the Nursery manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with registration and legislative requirements at all times.
- To manage a small team of practitioners effectively to deliver an ambitious, flexible curriculum which is driven by the children’s interests.
- To monitor and assess the quality of provision within your room, ensuring that policies and procedures, best practice and standards are maintained.
- To ensure the safety and well-being of the children.
- To fulfil legal and statutory requirements and to supervise staff on a daily basis
- To have a good knowledge of child development to accurately observe and assess children
- To monitor any safeguarding issues following local authority procedures.
- To communicate effectively with members of their team and be professional at all times.
- To ensure good communication between staff and parent’s/carers at all times
- To work as a positive role model and member of the staff team.

Applicants must have a full and relevant level 3 childcare qualification as a minimum and have at least 3 years experience of working in an early years environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £15,522.00-£15,912.00 per year
