**Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure they are properly documented.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing activities.
- Support the team with data entry and maintain the integrity of financial databases.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and suppliers regarding accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information as required.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interaction with team members and external parties.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A basic understanding of accounting principles is desirable.

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
