Reporting to: Store Manager
EXPECTED STANDARDS:
1. To be neat, tidy, numerate and literate.
2. To have a proven ability to prioritise, delegate and motivate staff.
3. To recognise any potential issues that may arise within the store and deal with them in a professional manner.
4. Always display a ‘can do’ attitude towards work and colleagues.
5. Confidentiality is essential.
6. Able to communicate clearly with a variety of people at all levels.
7. At home in a fast moving pressurised environment.
8. Adaptable and a quick thinker prepared to make decisions.
9. Readily accepts accountability and responsibility for delivering business results
10. Gives clear and concise instructions explaining reasons why
11. Knowledgeable of relevant laws.
main Responsibilities:
Arriving early to open the store and start preparations for the day.
Leaving late to close the store.
Assisting with customer service.
Ensuring that the store is clean and organized.
Assisting cashiers in periods of high customer volume.
Offering support and training to new employees when necessary
Assuming managerial responsibilities in the event of management absentees.
You will be required to work Weekends, but won’t be expected to work both Saturday and Sundays every week.
