**Job Description**:
The goal of Presales is to provide the Sales teams with solution design support required to successfully quote solutions that encompass Daisy’s product portfolio, meet the customer’s needs, are price-competitive and also provide sufficient information so that these can be delivered by the post-sales engineering and project management departments. This often involves a consultative business problem to solution translation, establishing customer, commercial and technical drivers and analysing the possible competition. This service is delivered via a variety of methods including customer consultation, responding to written requirements, writing proposals, presenting, verbal explanation and onsite or remote meetings with customers.

Presales Consultant Key Responsibilities:

- Have the ability to conduct customer stakeholder interviews across the customers business in order to assess the most appropriate solutions, likely to be both business and technical communities within the client organisation.
- Have the ability to work as part of a virtual team of presales consultants to build an appropriate design.
- Be the ultimate design authority for multi-discipline solutions.
- Possess enough commercial understanding to balance the value to the customer with the profit for Daisy.
- Understand the business outcomes that the solution will help ultimately deliver and be able to articulate those to the client.
- Participate in response assignment and consolidate the design responses in order to ensure that the solution demonstrates that we have considered interoperability and dependencies.
- Ability to present the solution to the customer as part of the sales cycle.
- Ability to stay with the project through the first phases of project delivery in order to ensure consistency of solution and provide support to the Programme Manager and Engineering teams as appropriate.
- Working with post sales to feedback and improve handover and successful delivery of solutions.
- Revisit the customer as necessary, to seek lessons learned that can be fed back to the business to ensure continual improvement, and also to assess whether the business outcomes that the customer was looking to achieve have been realised.
- Provide regular and constructive feedback to the senior management community.

Plus
- Provide assistance to sales in customer meetings onsite, in Daisy offices or in vendor offices.
- Consolidating and or providing a High Level Design (HLD) service that delivers quotations, proposal documents, diagrams and input to the design and technical sections of tender responses.
- Provide presentation material of solutions and to actually present these.
- Provide clear solution handover information to Engineering and Operations, using an agreed format, Solution Document (with resource description, expectation and caveats) and via handover meetings with the assigned post sales team.
- To ensure that requests for assistance from the sales team and engineering staff involved with the implementation of scoped projects are serviced in a timely manner and, where applicable, within agreed time scales.
- To ensure that where product capabilities are not fully understood, to seek assistance from a relevantly skilled Presales Consultant, vendor (or distributor) System Engineering staff to validate solutions prior to providing customer solutions or pricing.
- To ensure that where problems exist that these are appropriately escalated to Management, and to take these up with the product manufacturers and to assist in this process if required.
- Maintain up to date vendor accreditation levels for key portfolio vendors.
- Provide assistance if required at company organised events, trade shows and seminars.

Conduct 121’s annual performance reviews with their line manager.

**Qualifications**:
Essential Product line experience must include:

- Mitel MX-One (at a senior level).
- Mitel Sales configuration tools.

Desirable Product line experience includes:

- Mitel MiVB.
- Microsoft Teams Phone System and Direct Routing.
- Microsoft Teams Devices and Meeting Room Peripherals (such as Polycom, Yealink and Audiocodes).
- Audiocodes Session Border Controllers.
- Content Guru Contact Centre solutions.
- Gamma Horizon.
- Microsoft 365.

Desirable internal tool knowledge:

- SalesForce.
- ServicePath Quoting Tool.
