Our client is a leading banana ripening and service provision supplier in the UK market with two ripening facilities strategically placed in the north and south of the country.

The group are committed to a strong and consistent CSR policy with over 18,000 employees, producing over 460,000 tonnes of fruit and vegetables, distributing over 673,000 tonnes of bananas and selling to over 45 countries globally.

**Main Areas of Focus;**

Manage supplier profiles, due-diligence documents for all products and verify grower documents

Maintain approved supplier and grower lists by customer and ensure signed off technically in liaison with procurement team

Create and communicate weekly quality service level reports to all sources

Checking and verifying grower Pesticide list against customer approved pesticide list

Create and update product specifications for source and internal departments

Coordinate samples for residue and microbiology testing for all products

Managing SEDEX portal, verification of supplier registration and audit status

Manage Fair Trade and Soil Association portals

Manage and update customer portals with relevant documents

Record customer complaints and analyse customer complaints reports

Manage packaging supplier profiles, due-diligence documents and verify documents

Monitor equipment calibration, arrange external calibration and update records

To assist with the preparation for the site 3rd party audits

**Skills Required;**

Ideally have experience of working in a fresh produce/food manufacturing

At least 6 months experience with a supplier, distributor or customer, working in the food industry

Highly numerate and fully computer literate including working knowledge of Excel and Power BI

Ability to interface with people at all levels

Good communication skills

This role may also suit a food graduate, graduate administrator looking for a career start in the food industry
