🚧 Assistant Project Manager - Road Maintenance (Client Side)📍 LocationA13 Corridor (London/Essex area)💼 Role OverviewWe are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join a major highways programme, supporting the delivery of road maintenance and improvement works along the A13. This is a client-side position, providing oversight and coordination of large-scale infrastructure projects delivered under the NEC3 contract framework.The role requires someone with a strong background in major civil engineering projects, ideally with exposure to both design coordination and construction delivery, and the ability to work effectively with principal contractors and multidisciplinary teams.🔑 Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Project Manager in the planning and delivery of road maintenance and upgrade schemesAct as a client-side representative, ensuring contractors meet programme, quality, and safety requirementsOversee compliance with NEC3 contractual obligations, including change management and reportingAssist in reviewing and coordinating design packages, ensuring technical solutions are practical and cost-effectiveMonitor site progress, identify risks, and contribute to mitigation strategiesPrepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and stakeholder updatesLiaise with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project deliveryContribute to health, safety, and environmental management across all worksSupport budget tracking, forecasting, and value-for-money assessments🎓 Experience & Skills RequiredProven experience in major infrastructure or highways projectsStrong knowledge of NEC3 contracts and client-side project deliveryBackground in design coordination within civil engineering or highwaysExperience working with principal contractors on large-scale projectsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong organisational ability with attention to detailAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesDegree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (preferred)💰 Salary / Day RateContract role, outside IR35 potential🌟 Why This Role?This is an opportunity to play a key part in the delivery of a high-profile highways programme, gaining exposure to both design and construction phases while working client-side.
