The Arco Human Resources team have an opportunity within the HR Service Centre. We are recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join the team based at our Blackfriargate offices in Hull.
Our HR Service Centre acts as an Advisory Centre of Excellence and provides a strong HR presence, they are a foundation for the business by striving to improve employee relations, by providing specialist advice and guidance on the management of employee relations cases and policies.
This is a Full Time, working 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am - 17:00pm Monday to Friday. This role will be flexible office/home working.
Key Responsibilities;
- To provide professional front-line support and advice to colleagues and line managers in all aspects of Employee Relations (ER) and contractual queries and challenges, aiming to resolve as many at first point of contact.
- Analyse confidential and sometime complex information sources to make sound judgements on owned ER cases.
- Reviewing documentation including occupational health referrals, disciplinary investigations and performance improvement plans.
- Provide training sessions to manages across the business on HR policy and processes.
- Coaching HR and Line Managers on complex ER matters, acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders to resolve ER issues and build management capability.
To be successful in this role you will need to have;
- Experience of working in a busy HR environment, with responsibility for Employee Relations and HR case work is essential
- Knowledge or experience of HR Systems (iTrent desirable)
- In depth knowledge of IT (Excel / PowerPoint / Word)
- Experience of working in a confidential environment and providing advice to Colleagues and Line Managers
- A professional qualification of CIPD level 5 or equivalent (Desirable)
