**Full-time**
**Salary**: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
**Working hours**:40hrs between Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm (Hybrid)
**Holidays**: 21 days plus bank holidays increases to 23 after 1 years’ service
**We have a new opening for an Employee Relations / Health & Safety Advisor to join our HR team in Newcastle.**

**Role Responsibilities**
- Addressing employees’ concerns and handling complaints and strive to resolve them in a positive manner that benefits all parties and facilitates healthy working relationships.
- Organising and conducting investigation/disciplinary/grievance hearings, sickness and probation meetings. Supporting employees with maternity/paternity meetings.
- Offering support throughout the case and engaging with line managers.
- Taking accurate notes at hearings and meetings as required, transcribing and presenting them within the required deadline.
- Maintaining and tracking case records and documentation in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that confidentiality is always maintained and that sensitive documents that include personal information are preserved
- Working with the Employee Relations Manager in producing training materials for the business, process guidance and ‘how to’ guides for the HR teams and managers.
- Ensuring that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to.
- Ensuring the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
- Ensuring that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.

- Has high attention to detail and a quality focus
- Strong work ethic, with high personal and professional standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with people at all levels
- Problem solver, creative and adaptable solutions
- Team player, able to collaborate and share knowledge, experience and best practice
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to work independently and manage own workload
**Essential**
- Degree in HR Management or Legal.
- CIPD Qualified at least Level 3.
- 3/5 years’ experience in a similar position desirable
- Strong communication (both written and oral), negotiation and building-relationship skills
- Ability to effectively solve problems
- Ability to multi-task and experienced in handling multiple cases.
- Ability to make prompt and practical decisions, balancing risk with the commercial needs of the Company
- Analytical skills to assess situations and make accurate observations in the workplace
- Resilient, adaptable and flexible
- Practical knowledge of using MS Office.
- Advanced organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
