**Role Overview**

You will be responsible for the smooth running of the company’s payroll including processing payroll monthly and all associated administrative duties.

**Responsibilities**
- Monthly Payroll - including associated admin duties, online filing with HMRC, submission of pension schedules
- Processing monthly payroll for 200+ employees
- Ability to manually calculate payroll
- Calculating maternity and other statutory payments
- Calculating and processing employee deductions, such as taxes, insurance, and other benefits.
- Processing starters and leavers in payroll software, process P45’s, allocating correct tax codes and other associated duties
- Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all authorised amendments to the payroll system, including holiday, sickness, maternity and paternity payments
- Processing and manage deductions such as AOE’s
- Managing workplace pension schemes and monthly submission to pension providers
- Online filing with HMR&C of FPS & EPS
- Providing payroll related information and guidance to employees and deal with variety of payroll queries in relation to SMP, SSP, Holiday Pay and tax codes and staying up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations regarding payroll
- Keeping up to date with laws and regulations in relation to Payroll

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Minimum 3 years experience using Sage 50 Payroll
- Computer Literate - advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

**Skills & Abilities**
- Previous experience in payroll
- Have excellent communication skills
- Strong organisation skills are essential, you must be able to plan and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Ability to use initiative and also work with other departments
- Impeccable attention to detail

- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills

**What we offer**
- Salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience
- 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm(5pm finish on Fridays)
