Junior Product Owner

**Role Purpose**:
The Junior Product Owner acts as a strategic bridge between business analysis and product ownership. This role is responsible for leading complex analysis initiatives, shaping product domains/features, and ensuring alignment between business needs and product delivery.

The Junior Product Owner the Product Manager and Product Owner in roadmap planning, backlog grooming, and stakeholder engagement, while mentoring junior analysts and contributing to the continuous improvement of product delivery processes.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers to translate business vision into actionable product features.
- Lead the analysis of complex business processes and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements.
- Own and manage domains/epics and high-level user stories, ensuring they are well-defined and aligned with business goals.
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate solutions, and prioritise features.
- Support backlog refinement and sprint planning by ensuring stories are ready for development.
- Participate in roadmap planning and contribute to the prioritisation of features based on business value and technical feasibility.
- Support the Product Owner in defining and maintaining the story map and release plans.
- Lead user acceptance testing efforts and ensure alignment with business expectations.
- Mentor and support junior analysts in their professional development and quality of deliverables.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of analysis and software delivery practices within the team.
- Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure product features meet market and user needs.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of product documentation and training materials.
- Any other duties commensurate to the grade of the role.
- Proven experience in business analysis within a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
- Experience working in the insurance or reinsurance sector, particularly within the London Market.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, facilitation, and negotiation.
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SQL.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior analysts.Commercial awareness and ability to balance business value with technical constraints.
