**THE ROLE**

Talon has a great opportunity for a methodical and motivated individual with an analytical mind to work in our growing Product and Data team. This role will make an important contribution in managing the development process across Talon’s proprietary technology platforms, as we look to build our own technology solutions, and work to maximise the value of these investments. Ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines whilst maintaining a high quality of output and attention to detail, as well as building great relationships, is a must.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATIONSHIPS**

As a Junior Product Owner within the Product and Data team, your core responsibilities in the short term will be to immerse yourself in the department and gain a better understanding of wider business challenges. Long term you will be working across all Talon business units, to identify, refine and manage development requirements and communication, helping ensure our technology is continuing to help us better deliver what we do for clients. Responsibilities include:

- Develop a thorough understanding of Talon’s proprietary technology stack (Plato, Ada & Atlas) including 3rd party data and media owner partnerships
- Help shape the product roadmap and work with the Product Owner, CSO and CTO to ensure this is in line with wider business objectives
- Undertake regular data evaluations of media suppliers and 3rd party partners to assess suitability and commercial opportunities
- Identify potential system or process challenges and work closely with the wider department and team of developers to provide effective solutions
- Test any new developments and report back any bugs and issues found
- Communicate any changes / development / requirement to users of the relevant platforms, both internally and externally
- Gather user feedback and evaluate the value of these requests in order to separate ‘wants’ from ‘needs’ and effectively prioritise the development requirements
- Become a key point of contact for Sahaj development teams
- Produce documentation in confluence and contribute to and review relevant stories in Jira
- Develop an understanding of the various business functions within Talon, as well as external parties using our technology, and be able to clearly articulate how their processes either need to evolve to align with our products or shape the backlog of our products to align with the business processes.
- Keep up to date with the latest industry regulations, market conditions and competitor platforms so the team can make informed business decisions about any opportunities or challenges in this space

**WORKING HABITS AND CORE SKILLS**
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic, loves to help and is naturally solution and resolution focused.
- A foundation in tech and data, or the ability and appetite to learn and grasp these concepts
- Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly organised, self-motivated and pro-active

**YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- 2+ years experience in the OOH or wider media industry
- Experience of working in a fast-moving team delivering solutions for clients or business partners.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with teams across a number of business functions
