**Desirable**: PEG feeding and Oral Suctioning, however training will be given.

**Days & Hours**: Alternate Sundays, 07.30 am to 5.30 pm

**About this client/child**:
What a treat it is for me to tell you about this lovely family Matilda is 18 years old and lives with her mam and younger siblings, where she is surrounded by her incredibly dedicated team of support workers. Matilda has a fabulous pink bedroom with ensuitebathroom, a big TV to watch some of her favourite DVDs and Pactac, (touch and music interactive game), and a comfy chair where her gorgeous dog often curls up for a snooze. There is extensive land and a fantastic, heated swimming pool. Matilda has quadriplegiccerebral palsy, a visual impairment, and epilepsy; she requires 24-hour care support. Matilda has an AMT G-Jet low-profile trans gastric-jejunal feeding tube in place. She builds up secretions during the night and requires oral suctioning and chest physio.Despite her physical and communication limitations, Matilda is a responsive and happy young lady. She is very much the central part of her family

**Overview of role**:
Sundays are chilled for Matilda. She is usually still in bed when you arrive and will require hoisting to her changing bed to get ready for the day. Once Matilda’s morning feed is set up, Matilda might like to watch a film; she loves the Jungle book She hasplenty of other interactive activities you can do with her during the day. It could be that her 'Nanny’ and 'Grandpa’ come to visit. Seeing 'Nanny’ puts the biggest smile on Matilda face There are plans to have a sensory area planted in the garden and thegarage to be converted into a sensory room, so exciting times ahead This role is alternate Sundays, 07.30 am to 5.30 pm but there are additional hours available.

**Who this job would suit**:
A *female support worker, confident in supporting a young woman with complex needs but also with a great 'just get on with it’, grounded energy. You will be part of a busy, upbeat household so you must feel happy working alongside family members.

**What’s great about this job**:
Training will be provided in PEG feeding, oral suctioning, and Chest Physio. In addition to training however, is the chance to work with a rather special young lady.
