**Job Description**:
Our General Manager of DPD Logistics is looking to recruitment a Logistics Planning Project and Improvement Controller to join their high performing and hard working team.
As Logistics Planning, Project & Improvement Controller you will be working alongside the management team on a wide range of projects to support the smooth running and success of the DPD Logistics operation.
You will be responsible for actively planning and delivering improvement projects across the department functions, with measurable outcomes against the main Key Performance Indicators.
You will help DPD Logistics achieve outstanding service to our customers and also achieve challenging objectives around Efficiency, Productivity, Cost, Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Work with the management team to assess areas for improvement and take action to ensure best practice.
- Effective leadership, management, direction and scheduling of Logistics projects.
- Liaise with project stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, documentation and reports, communicating project status to all stakeholders.
- Investigate and provide insight into future trends and emerging technologies related to our operation and processes.
- Work with the Management team on daily, weekly, period and annual planning.
- To ensure the Logistics team achieve contractual performance measures and obligations.
- Control of cost through planning and review of labour and expenditure.
- The promotion, implementation and maintenance of company and departmental procedures including Security Policy, Green Strategy, IT & Data Protection policies and Health and Safety.

- The ability to monitor performance and analyse data to deliver projects, plan and manage costs and achieve service requirements

- Proven people management experience
- Be comfortable operating in an environment where working efficiently at pace and under pressure is critical
- Be a strong communicator, verbal and written, with strong presentation skills
- Have a high degree of computer literacy
