**JOB SUMMARY**
Oversees projects. Keeps up to date on all aspects of a project, assigns duties, and assists others so even complicated tasks come to completion in an orderly and timely manner. Uses expertise to solve unexpected problems. Communicates with upper management.
Ensure that clients’ needs are met as the project evolves and to help ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide planning and control for small and medium projects
- Agree and communicate plans with Customers and provide the agreed level of communication at all times
- To assist in the organising, planning, managing and controlling the project from order acceptance through to final sign off on completion, adhering to Maintel Project Methodology
- To help the PM with stake holder analysis and ensure all key documents are authorised by the appropriate parties.
- To assist with the delivery of the required solution within the specified constraints of time and cost, meeting commercial milestones
- Interface between Maintel new/existing Customers and other Maintel Departments
- To ensure that the completed project is capable of delivering the business benefits defined in the scope, active participation in Lessons Learnt and Contract Review meetings
- Track and control work in progress, invoicing budget v actuals and transition and handover into Support.
- Coordinating Project schedules, resources, equipment and information. Liaising with clients to identify project requirements. Ensuring that clients’ needs are met as the project evolves and help ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
**Coordination as part of a team**
- Work with the assigned Project, Senior Project and Programme Managers on Maintel Portfolio Projects acting as the point of contact for all project queries and updates
- Manage work streams for Projects to include customer contact as defined by the communication plan, equipment ordering and despatching and engineering resource management
- Work with the Project Manager to ensure all project documentation is up to date, version controlled and available in a centrally stored file This includes, RAID, Highlight Reports, Project Plans and Updates
- Liaise with internal departments to arrange resources for the project including training, engineers and equipment.
- Work with the Project Manager to track all costs using the earned value principles, ensuring change controls are completed, authorised and invoiced as agreed.
- Ensure Support and the Transition Team are aware of assigned projects and follow the agreed process to ensure all documentation is completed and handed over to Support at project go live
- Take part in project meetings as directed by assigned Programme and Senior Project Manager
- Work towards set goals and objectives in line with KPI’s, development and mentoring programmes
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Invoicing and Forecasting all Projects
- Working to Revenue targets
- Resourcing Engineers
- Accountable for managing project to cost estimate (with Project Manager where allocated)
- Accountable for managing through Focalpoint ( Internal system), “Go Live Date”, project completion and invoice schedule (with Project Manager where allocated)
- Voluntarily assisting in continuous improvement of the Maintel project management process
**Key Challenges**
- Multitasking ability and organisational skills are key to this role
- Maximise invoicing potential
- Manage and co-ordinate engineers time and materials with an aim to increasing margins
- Maintaining accurate status, highlight and other relevant project reports
**EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
**Qualifications**
- No formal qualifications essential
- Project Management qualifications preferred
**Skills and Aptitudes**
- Excellent customer skills and focus
- Excellent telephone manner
- Excellent organisational, time management and administrative skills and ability to effectively coordinate customer projects
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- IT skills and experience, MS Office, MS Project preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and with time constraints
- Excellent detail and accuracy required
**Job knowledge**
- Basic understanding of telecoms and Maintel products and services
- Ability to produce reports and information from database packages
